Negotiation Track with Damascus at the Core of a Trilateral Meeting between the SDF, the Autonomous Administration, and the Syrian Democratic Council
A trilateral meeting was held, bringing together the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, and member of the General Command, Rûhlat Afrin, with leaders and representatives of the forces, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and the Syrian Democratic Council.
The meeting discussed several issues, including the course of negotiations with Damascus and mechanisms to advance the implementation of the March 10 Agreement, which is considered a strategic step toward consolidating stability.
The participants reviewed the progress made in this regard and affirmed their commitment to the path of consensus, encouraging Damascus to adopt dialogue as a national option to resolve outstanding issues.
The attendees also reaffirmed the SDF’s adherence to national dialogue as the most effective means to achieve peace and stability across Syrian territory.
Moreover, the participants welcomed the results of the Washington meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and President Ahmad al-Shar’a, considering that the suspension of sanctions and the opening of diplomatic coordination channels reflect a positive shift toward supporting a comprehensive political solution with the participation of all Syrians.
In the same context, the meeting praised Syria’s inclusion in the International Coalition against Terrorism, stressing that the Syrian Democratic Forces have been—and remain—the main pillar of this coalition for a decade.
The participants also discussed internal and service-related issues, emphasizing the need to improve service quality and enhance the performance of civil institutions in the regions of North and East Syria.
The meeting was concluded by affirming the unity of vision and responsibility among all Syrians, regardless of their affiliations.
