Statement on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed annually on December 3rd, the Social Affairs and Labor Authority of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria affirms the esteemed position of this valued segment of society and our unwavering belief in their capabilities and active contributions across all spheres of life. This day serves as a global reminder of the value of human diversity and the necessity of concerted efforts to ensure an inclusive and safe environment that guarantees their full rights to education, employment, healthcare, and community participation.

Promoting the rights of persons with disabilities requires overcoming all obstacles that hinder their full integration into society, whether physical, social, or legal. Based on our responsibility, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to supporting them through programs and initiatives that enhance their independence and enable them to play their natural and active role in development, believing that a strong society is one that opens its doors to everyone without exception.
