To Public Opinion,

The factions affiliated with the Interim Government in Damascus have violated the agreement and launched attacks on our forces on more than one front since yesterday morning until now, despite all efforts to find peaceful solutions and demonstrate good faith, including withdrawing from certain areas. However, Damascus insists on continuing the fighting and pursuing the military option.
Therefore, we call on our people to remain on full alert, to adopt the principle of self-defense as a foundation, to stand by their military forces, to protect their cities, and to engage in the battle to defend dignity. The aim of these attacks is to strike at the brotherhood built with the blood of our young men and women, to sow discord and violence among the components of North and East Syria, to target Syria’s indigenous communities, and to impose a single color over the diverse spectrum of others.
We are therefore at a critical juncture: either we resist and live with dignity, or we are subjected to all forms of oppression and humiliation. Accordingly, we call on our people to respond to the general mobilization decision announced by the Autonomous Administration, to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women’s Protection Units. We also call on all segments of our people—especially young men and women—to arm themselves and prepare to confront any potential attack in the Jazira region and Kobani.
We must understand that we are facing an existential war. To preserve the gains of our revolution and our identity, there is only one option: popular resistance. Therefore, we call on our people to rally around their forces, unite together to confront this brutal attack, and ensure that everyone remains on full alert.
